Tenor Eric Johnston returns to the role of Raguneau in Cyrano tonight with Opera Carolina, a role he originated in the world premiere with Michigan Opera Theatre! During an operatic career spanning three decades, Mr Johnston has performed over 50 different roles, and his artistry has earned him acclaim from critics and audiences alike across North America. Eric performs regularly with Opera Columbus, Nashville Opera, Florentine Opera, Lake George Opera, Virginia Opera, The Spoleto Festival, Chautauqua Opera, and recently joined the roster at The Metropolitan Opera. His ability to transform into any character truly sets Mr. Johnston apart, and his portrayal of leading roles in operas such as Salome, Falstaff, Die Fledermaus, Romeo et Juliette, Little Women, Tosca, Carmen, Turandot, Pirates of Penzance, Little Women, La fanciulla del West, The Magic Flute, Boris Godunov, Simon Boccanegra, Susannah, Madama Butterfly, and La Traviata continues to thrill opera fans night after night!
