The Marriage of Figaro
Exciting, young, German mezzo-soprano, Magda Gartner, has recently performed Hansel in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel with Opera Pomme Rouge on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. She studied voice in Salzburg, at the Royal College of Music In London and the Mannes College of Music in New York City. In Summer 2016, she was young artist with Dell ‘Arte Opera Ensemble (NYC) and was performing Musette in Leoncavallo’s Boheme and Flora in La Traviata. Other roles in her repertoire include Carmen (Carmen), Componist (Ariadne auf Naxos), Dorabella (Così fan Tutte) and the title character in Rossini’s Cenerentola. In addition to her vocal studies, Ms. Gartner holds a Master of Music in piano from the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria.
