Noah Rice

Tenor Noah Rice is now in his 10th season performing with the Opera Carolina Chorus.  He made his solo debut with Opera Carolina as the Messenger in Aida (2008). Other roles performed with Opera Carolina include Gerardo (Gianni Schicchi~ 2013), 1st Armored Guard & 2nd Priest (The Magic Flute~ 2013), Spoleto (Tosca~ 2012), Parpignol (La Boheme~ 2009), and The Emperor (Turandot~ 2008). 

Noah is currently in his sixth season as a resident artist and Opera Express performer.  As a resident artist, he recently performed the role of Sroufe in Rise for Freedom.  Noah’s performance led its composer, Adolphus Hailstork, to say “That is exactly the tenor voice for which this role was written.”

This April, Mr. Rice will take the role of Normanno to Toledo Opera’s Lucia di Lammermoor.  Noah will be performing locally with Mosaic-Arts and Opera Carolina for the upcoming 2015-16 season. 

Noah studied voice at Winthrop University as a student of tenor, Jerry Helton.  Mr. Jerry Helton has taught many other acclaimed opera names, including Kristopher Irmiter, John Fowler, John Fortson, Cassandra Riddle, and many Opera Carolina Chorus members.  Mr. Rice would like to dedicate his performance to Jerry & Mary Ann Helton.
