Charlotte's Prince Charmings revealed!
Charlotte, NC (March 3, 2006) - Charlotte's many Prince Charmings will make their appearances next Wednesday, March 8 from 11:30-2:00 at Trade and Tryon. In this fairytale event, women will line the streets to have one of Charlotte's own Prince Charmings present the exclusive designer shoe and find out if they could be the next Cinderella. Donated by Bob Ellis Shoes at SouthPark, women have the chance to win an exclusive pair of Stuart Weitzman designer shoes.
Making Prince Charming appearances will be: Emeka Okafor, #50 on the Charlotte Bobcats team, Lee Keesler, President & CEO of the Arts & Science Council, Andrew "Lemon Bar" King from the syndicated Pam Stone show on 107.9, Rudy Alexander, President of award winning The Elevator Channel, Al Conklin, WBTV's weatherman, Dave Washington, owner and designer of custom men and women's clothing newly located in Ivey's building, Cary Mitchell, owner of Cary Mitchell Designs, James Meena, Opera Carolina General Director & Principal Conductor, Jerry Thornton V.P. at Visit Charlotte, Tim Newman, Chief Executive Officer of the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority and many more...
Here's how it works: if a woman sits in the throne to try on the shoes by Stuart Weitzman, she instantly receives a pair of tickets (limited supply) to opening night of Cinderella, Thursday, March 9 at 7:30 pm. If the shoe fits, she receives the tickets, plus a tiara. The tiara is important. Wear the tiara on opening night, and we will pick at random one woman out of the many wearing tiaras. At intermission, one lucky Cinderella will be announced to win the pair of designer shoes, delivered by Prince Charming and accompanied by music, roses and champagne; her own Cinderella story!
And there is more. DRESS OP! Anyone who attends opening night dressed ready for the "ball" gets in FREE. That means bring out your tiaras, tuxes, full-length silk ball gowns, glass slippers, and horse drawn carriages, it is time to go to the ball, Cinderella is in town. We want to see IMPRESSIVE costumes in order to give out free tickets. Attend dressed OP on Saturday and Sunday and receive two tickets for the price of one.
For those not attending in costume, please call the North Carolina Blumenthal Performing Arts Center at (704) 372-1000 Monday-Saturday 10 am – 6 pm for tickets to Cinderella.
