On behalf of Charlotte City Club Member, Sarah Dockery and Friends of the Opera, you are cordially invited to dinner at the Charlotte City Club prior to the performance of Bizet's Carmen at the Belk Theater. This special dinner will offer a three-course meal and one Grand Tier ticket for Carmen (3/18 performance). The menu selection is as follows (select one from each course): Soups, Salads, & Appetizers (select one) Seasonal Soup of the Evening Frisse & Tango Salad with Caramelized Apple with walnut brittle, aged sherry vinaigrette Flash Fried Calamari & Fennel Salad with peppadew peppers, roasted garlic & basil dressing Entrees Choices (select one) Pan-Seared Scottish Salmon served with roasted tomato & spinach risotto, eggplant caponata, herbes de Provence beurre blanc Grilled Paillard of Chicken with braised fennel, allumette potatoes, haricots verts, tarragon jus Boneless Beef Shortribs a la Bourguignon with roasted garlic crushed bliss potatoes, roasted shallot, sautéed cremini mushroom, bacon lardons, marchand de vin sauce Dessert Your choice of the evening’s dessert selection. This event is open to members and non-members of the Charlotte City Club. If you have already purchased an Carmen ticket for the Thursday performance, the cost to dine at the Charlotte City Club is $35.00 (exclusive of beverages, taxes and gratuities). If you have not purchased your ticket, the cost will be $112 (exclusive of beverages, taxes and gratuities) and will include the three-course meal and one ticket in the Grand Tier section.
