Event description: You probably know more about opera than you realize. Opera has influenced nearly all other forms of popular entertainment-from Broadway musicals to Hollywood movies, television commercials to classic cartoons. But before you run out to discover the thrill of opera for yourself, it pays to do a little detective work to enhance your knowledge and enjoyment of what you're about to see.

For the first in a 2 part series, Chad Calvert, Resident Stage Director, will lead a Q&A session on the history of opera. He will cover time periods; composers; repertoire and more!
