Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions

Where: Queens University of Charlotte

Event description: Twenty seven (27) aspiring opera singers will compete in the 2012 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions - North Carolina District in Dana Auditorium, Queens University of Charlotte, 1900 Selwyn Avenue on Saturday, January 14, 2012 beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Up to three winners will be chosen by a distinguished panel of judges. They are
Jay Lesenger, Artistic and General Director, Chautauqua Opera; Mark Rucker, Baritone, Metropolitan Opera; and Clinton Singley, former Associate Director, Metropolitan Opera National Council.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend the auditions at no cost. A nominal donation of $3.00 is suggested.
