Porgy & Bess Dinner at the Charlotte City Club
Where: Charlotte City Club (121 W. Trade Street, Suite 3100, Charlotte)
Event description: On behalf of Charlotte City Club Member, Sarah Dockery and Friends of the Opera, you are cordially invited to dinner at the Charlotte City Club prior to the performance of Gershwin’s Porgy & Bess at the Belk Theater.
This special dinner will offer a three-course meal and one Grand Tier ticket for Porgy & Bess (5/14 performance).
The menu selection is as follows (select one from each course):
Soups & Salads (select one)
Tango, Gem and Oak Leaf Salad served with macadamias and mango vinaigrette
Classic Caesar Salad with parmigiano, anchovy, lemon & extra virgin olive oil
City Club Wedge Salad with applewood bacon, cherry tomato, toasted walnuts, Maytag Blue Cheese dressing
French Onion Soup Gratinée with swiss cheese and crouton
“Soup of the Evening” as described by your server
Entrees (select one)
Grilled Scottish Salmon served with ricotta gnocchi, roasted vegetables, saffron emulsion
Carolina Crab Cakes served with grilled purple eggplant, grape tomato, fennel salad, lemon-ginger aioli
Roast Breast of Chicken served with barley pilaf, tahini yogurt sauce, red pepper chutney
Grilled Beef Teres Major Steak served with roasted corn polenta, cremini mushroom, asparagus, cabernet jus

This event is open to members and non-members of the Charlotte City Club. If you have already purchased a Porgy & Bess ticket for the Friday performance, the cost to dine at the Charlotte City Club is $35.00 (exclusive of beverages, taxes and gratuities).
If you have not purchased your ticket, the cost will be $105 (exclusive of beverages, taxes and gratuities) and will include the three-course meal and one ticket in the Grand Tier section.
