Be in an Opera!
Being a part of Opera Carolina's productions is a truly rewarding experience. Becoming involved is as easy as becoming a member of the Opera Carolina Chorus or the cast of Supernumeraries for each production.
For more information about the Opera Carolina Chorus Association, visit their website.
Opera Carolina Chorus
The Opera Carolina Chorus is the locally based performing ensemble of Opera Carolina, comprised of individuals from throughout the community. Not only do Opera Carolina Chorus members perform alongside some of the great artists of our time - Denyce Graves, Vivica Genaux and Mark Delavan - but they build friendships and achieve a sense of accomplishment that only performing with a professional company can provide.
Membership in the Opera Carolina Chorus is by audition only. For more information about qualifications, general information, to request audition notification or to schedule an audition time, contact Michael Baumgarten, Director of Production at 704.332.7177 x212 or e-mail Michael@operacarolina.org.

Supernumeraries
The American Heritage Dictionary defines a Supernumerary as "An actor without a speaking part, as one who appears in a crowd scene." In the world of operatic stage, a supernumerary (aka Super) can take on many roles.
Anyone with a love of the stage and some time on their hands would be a great Super, and you will immediately be embraced as a member of the cast.
Rehearsals are evenings and weekends over a three-week period. For more information contact Steve Sebero, Super Captain at ssebero@yahoo.com or Michael Baumgarten, Director of Production at michael@operacarolina.org, or by phone to 704.332.7177 x212.
